Product of Canada

Our Canadian sourced split red lentils are an excellent source of protein and fiber, as well as high in iron. Split Red lentils are mildly sweet and have a distinctive flavour that absorbs other flavours easily.

Lentils can be easily incorporated into many dishes and often used as a meat substitute for vegetarian dishes. Our bags are resealable and will store for 2-3 years in a cool, dry location.

Split red lentils are a versatile and nutritious addition to any kitchen pantry, renowned for their quick-cooking properties and a plethora of health benefits. These lentils are essentially whole red lentils that have been split in half, removing the outer husk, which significantly reduces their cooking time. With their vibrant orange-red hue, they not only add a splash of color to dishes but also infuse them with a mildly sweet and nutty flavor that complements a wide range of recipes.

Rich in essential nutrients, split red lentils are a powerhouse of protein, making them an excellent choice for vegetarians, vegans, and anyone looking to boost their protein intake. They are also packed with dietary fiber, which aids in digestion and helps promote a feeling of fullness, contributing to weight management. Moreover, these lentils are a great source of iron, folate, and magnesium, which play crucial roles in energy production, oxygen transport, and maintaining heart health.

Easy to prepare and inherently gluten-free, split red lentils are perfect for soups, stews, dahls, and salads. They cook down to a creamy consistency, making them an ideal thickening agent for hearty, comforting dishes. Whether you're looking to enrich your meals with more plant-based protein or simply seeking a nutritious ingredient to experiment with, split red lentils are a nutritious, delicious, and versatile choice that supports a healthy, balanced diet.
