- High Protein Content: Canadian hard red spring wheat is renowned for its exceptional protein content, often ranging between 13% to 15%, making it a preferred choice for bakers and food manufacturers globally. This high protein level contributes to its strong gluten formation capacities, which is ideal for producing bread with excellent texture, volume, and shelf life.
- Robust Flavor and Nutritional Profile: Beyond its baking qualities, this type of wheat boasts a rich, robust flavor that enhances the taste of whole wheat products. It's also packed with essential nutrients, including fiber, vitamins (especially B vitamins), and minerals (such as iron, magnesium, and zinc), supporting a balanced diet and contributing to overall health and wellness.
- Sustainable Farming Practices: Canadian farmers are at the forefront of implementing sustainable and innovative farming practices to grow hard red spring wheat. These practices not only ensure the production of high-quality wheat but also focus on soil health, water conservation, and reducing the carbon footprint. This commitment to sustainability makes Canadian hard red spring wheat a responsible choice for consumers who value environmental stewardship alongside nutritional benefits.

Add 3 parts water to 1 part wheat, and bring to a boil. Simmer for 60 minutes. Add toppings the same as you would with oatmeal, such as salt, honey or fruit.
